GUIDANCE AND COUNSELLING

Guidance & Counselling is the process of helping individuals discover and develop their educational, vocational, and psychological potentialities and thereby achieve an optimal level of personal happiness and social usefulness.

It provides emphasis and strengthens the educational program. The major goals of counselling are to promote personal growth and to prepare students to become motivated workers and responsible citizens.

Counsellors facilitate communication among teachers, parents, administrators, and students to adapt the school's environment in the best interests of each individual student. They help individual students make the most of their school experiences and prepare them for the future.

CNM School believes that the school years tend to be the healthiest period of life, they are also the time when mental health problems often begin or become more apparent. This is due, in part, to the challenges posed by the expectations in the spheres of education and socialization, as well as the physical and developmental changes that occur during these critical years. With advent of technology the presence is more dominant. Gentle support and guidance can make all the difference for the troubled youngster. The school has 2 in-house Counsellors and 2 in -house Special educators to support student's well-being. They regularly connect with the parents to offer support. Further they offer Career Counselling to students of Std. IX to XII.
